Inreach, Outreach & Congregational Longevity: A Case Study of Havurah Shalom’s “Ownership Development” Program

Presenter(s): Aaron Pearlman
Time: Shabbat morning

“Dorot” is a year-long program designed to help members feel that they are owners of the community, and the future of the congregation. The first group involved people in their 20s & 30s. The current group is people in their 40s & 50s. It is not specifically a leadership development group, but is based on similar models. Additionally, the group (now in it’s second year-long session) creates a mini-havurah within the community bringing people of similar ages and/or life experiences together to learn, grow, celebrate and give back together.

Aaron has significant experience creating outreach and fundraising program for Jewish organizations.
