Rabbi Michael StrassfeldRabbi Michael StrassfeldRABBI MICHAEL STRASSFIELD has been prominent on the American Jewish scene for more than thirty years, dating from his involvement as co-editor of the first Jewish Catalog in 1973. His most recent book, A Book of Life: Embracing Judaism as a Spiritual Practice, was issued in paperback by Jewish Lights. He is co-editor, along with his wife, Rabbi Joy Levitt, of A Night of Questions: A Passover Haggadah published in 2000 by the JRF's Reconstructionist Press. He also created a CD called Songs to Open the Heart: Contemplative Niggunim. Rabbi Strassfeld currently serves as rabbi at the Society for the Advancement of Judaism in New York City.
