NOAH FELDMAN is Professor of law at Harvard University. Feldman, whose expertise is on the relationship between law and religion in the West and Middle East, has been named recently by New York Magazine as one of "the influentials" in ideas. Feldman is former senior constitutional adviser to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq, and the author of numerous bookis on the Middle East, including After Jihad, What We Owe Iraq, Divided by God, and his most recent, The Fall and Rise of the Islamic State, released in April 2008.
