Camp JRF Update

I just returned from a trip to Israel where I met with our Israeli staff members from Camp this past summer. We did Havdallah on the Herziliyah beach and shared wonderful stories about Camp. Many of them are hoping to return for Summer 2007. When I told them we had over 220 campers registered they were most excited.

Many of the Israelis brought their photo albums with pictures of their campers, of boating on the lake, swimming in the pool, Frisbee games, art and dancing, singing in the teatron (theater), and of course, the soccer games.

Assistant Director, Isaac Saposnik, is busy interviewing new staff members to add to another wonderful group of leaders for Summer 2007. Isaac has also been busy the past few weeks as he and Jeanne Calloway, last year’s Ilanot Rosh Eidah, just got engaged. Mazal Tov! Isaac and Jeanne are the first couple who met at camp to become engaged. The camp community is overjoyed and we all wish them the very best.

Registration Update

We have over 220 campers already registered for Summer 2007 - including many new campers and some who will stay for the full summer! Representing more than 33 Reconstructionist communities from across North America, the word is out—Camp JRF is the place to be this summer.

Waitlists

With so many campers already registered, we are currently taking waiting lists for the following session: Ilanot Bet

We are currently reviewing our bunk and staffing plan to be able to accommodate all interested campers, however we cannot guarantee spots for this session at this time.

If you are interested in signing up your child for Ilanot Bet, please be in touch with us right away to place her/him on the waiting list. In the meantime, while you wait to hear about Bet session, we encourage you to consider registering your child for the Aleph session (June 27 – July 22) to ensure that your child will have a spot at camp this summer.

You can register online.
