Or Hadash is a welcoming Reconstructionist Congregation of 200+ families located in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania (a suburb of Philadelphia). As Reconstructionists, we stress the value of a Jewish community as well as traditional and new Jewish values, morals, and ideas. We encourage members to participate at their own level of observance and faith and to grow at their own pace. We welcome traditional and non-traditional households.

People come to Or Hadash looking for a personal and participatory Jewish experience. Numerous havurot, or small fellowship groups based on similar interests, meet within the congregation to enhance the feeling of belonging to a community. Our vibrant community life includes support for and programs for teens, empty nesters, and interfaith couples.
